Why should you document milestones? The first year goes by SO fast! Milestone sessions are a great way to capture and document the milestones that your baby reaches, to capture moments that will be gone from your memories before you know it in the hustle and bustle of life. Children grow and change very quickly in their first year of life. To watch an infant start to smile, roll over, crawl, walk and talk is an amazing thing to see, which is why documenting that first year with baby milestone sessions is so special.

Our milestone sessions are simple, classic, and timeless with the focus entirely on the baby. I like to keep props limited so that all of the attention is on baby without a distracting backdrop. Outfits should be kept simple and neutral. We love whites and other neutral colors, so that these images will look amazing on your walls for years to come!

  • Atlanta Georgia Family Newborn Milestone Studio Photographer 3 to 5 Months

    3-5 Months

    Babies in this stage are very easy to pose on their backs and tummies and both make for ADORABLE photos! Eye contact is great and we start to get some great smiles. Baby will be learning to hold their heads up and possibly rolling over.

  • Atlanta Georgia Family Newborn Milestone Studio Photographer 6 to 8 Months

    6-8 months

    Babies in this stage are full of personality that is so fun to capture! They are also starting to use their muscles and sit up unassisted and starting to try to figure out crawling.

  • Atlanta Georgia Family Newborn Milestone Studio Photographer 9 to 10 Months

    9-10 months

    Babies in this stage are starting to be on the move! They can be crawling and possibly trying to stand or walk, and pulling themselves up on furniture.

  • Atlanta Georgia Family Newborn Milestone Studio Photographer 11 to 12 Months 1 year

    11-12 months

    During this stage, we love capturing baby standing up and possible taking steps. If they haven't gotten that down yet, they can use the help of a stool or chair. And don't forget about the cake smash!

Endless Possibilities.

You don't have to stop at one year! We can continue document and freeze time as your little ones grow; such as 2 years, 5 years, and 7 years! They are never too old for portraits!

Milestone Sessions

Whether it is 6 months, 12 months, or 2 year, let’s document those milestones! Smiles, laughter, movements, make memories of it all! These sessions are especially perfect for documenting baby's growth in their first year. Add in the rest of the family or just siblings to your milestone session is an option as well. I always encourage moms to join the session for motherhood images; It's a special time for you, too!

Cake Smash Sessions

Our cake smash milestone sessions will be half cake smash, half classic portraits to document this special time! We use simple decor so that baby is still the focus of your images. Cake is not included.

 FAQs

  • Our sets are very minimalist; bring any decor you would like to use to create a background!

    Bring any outfits for the baby that you want to try: I do have outfits in my client closet available to use.

    Parents should wear some comfortable clothing with no logos or prints and should choose soft-tone, natural colors, avoiding bright colors and patterns.

    Bring plain white diapers and a plain white onesie and any favorite toys that may help us get some smiles!

  • I am typcailly booked out 2 months, so please book in advance. I am no longer accepting last minute sessions. Book your session with enough time to choose outfits without stressing about time!

  • We want to schedule around naps so that baby is happy and smiley!

  • You are welcome to have an outfit changes for the baby, the more outfits will give the most variety to choose from.

  • Sessions can last up to an hour. We go with the flow and are on baby's schedule.

  • A $75 retainer is due at the time of booking for all sessions. The remaining balance is due 24 hours before the session date/time; I will send an invoice for the remaining balance 3-5 days prior.

  • Yes! Additional images may be purchased for all sessions.

  • Yes, each photo is professionally edited and retouched by hand, such as the removal of acne or unwanted scars.
