Throw out that pre-conceived notion of forcing stiff poses and fake smiles! I just love a good candid. A photo of a little one with pure joy across their face as they've made running from the camera into a game. This is a great way to describe the type of shots I aim to capture. Or siblings laughing hysterically as they race back and forth between the camera and their parents. Do not worry if your little one is struggling and not cooperating, as I urge families to not look directly at the camera for most of our session time. Do you know what a crying little one gets us? Lots of snuggle images of mom trying to console her baby. The love shines right through! I want to capture your family in your element, without worrying who is looking where. This approach takes the pressure off and helps everyone relax, which allows your loved one's personalities to shine!
We will always aim to include the standard classic portrait of the whole family looking at the camera and smiling, but the most unforgettable moments captured are always taken in the mix of things; when the family forgets all about the camera! Don't be hesitant to book if your toddler is in a feisty phase either, because they won't be little for long; let's capture that perfect chaos! Every phase of life should be captured and documented to look back and remember on!
Document the relationships, not just individuals - Family sessions emphasize interactions: hugs, play, and shared laughter. These candid moments show the emotional bonds that matter most, rather than posed portraits alone.

I am typcailly booked out 2 months, so please book in advance. I am no longer accepting last minute sessions. Book your session with enough time to choose outfits without stressing about time!

We will want to shoot outdoor sessions as close to sunrise/sunset as possible; we want that beautiful golden light. I typically book an hour before sunset for full sessions.
Studio sessions can be booked at any time.

For Full Sessions, adding an outfit change gives more variety and looks you can have for your images! Outfit changes are not recommended for mini sessions due to limited time.

Your session time will be based upon the purchased session type. Full Sessions on location typically range from 45 minutes to an hour.
Newborn Life Inspired sessions may want to block off two hours to leave time for feedings and changes. Always be prepared to spend more time during your session as opposed to less time. The more outfit changes you have for full sessions, the more time we will need.

Selecting a location for your full session is a combined effort. Together, we will find the perfect location for your personality and style. Client favorites are beautiful parks with natural scenery! Ask us about our location guide to help choose! Locations and times are appointed for Mini Sessions, which is helpful for those who struggle with making decisions!

A $75 retainer is due at the time of booking for all sessions. The remaining balance is due 24 hours before the session date/time; I will send an invoice for the remaining balance 3-5 days prior.

JOP services the entire Atlanta area, so depending on the location you decide upon, a $15 travel fee may occur (over an hour outside zip code 30141). Also, depending on the location chosen, there may be a venue fee added as well. We will discuss this further when choosing a location, but many parks and venues are charging photographers to use their property. All additional fees are covered by the client.

Yes! Additional images may be purchased for all sessions.

Yes, each photo is professionally edited and retouched by hand, such as the removal of acne or unwanted scars.

If your outdoor session needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather, we will try for the first available session date. I will send you a notification at least 2 hours of the session time if I see a reason to reschedule. Please note I do automatically reschedule sessions if there is a more than a 80% chance of rain. I do not reschedule for overcast weather, as this is my preferred lighting to shoot in!
