Pregnancy is a season of quiet strength, anticipation, and profound change. At Jen Oswald Photography, we create maternity portraits that honor the beauty and emotion of this unique journey with timeless, everlasting images you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Our approach is natural, elegant posing that highlights the connection between you, your body, and your growing baby. With soft, classic lighting and neutral palettes for images that remain beautiful and relevant decade after decade. Expect a comfortable, relaxed session guided by an experienced photographer to make you feel confident and at ease.

Ideally, we will want to hold your session between 28–34 weeks, when your belly has a lovely curve and you’re still comfortable. For studio sessions, we provide a full curated client closet of gowns, dresses, and fabrics to choose from at no additional cost. All sessions include family/partner shots.

Packages

Sessions start at $475

Petite sessions include up to 2 gowns, outfits, or fabrics. Short and sweet, can last up to 2 hours.

Full sessions include up to 5 different gowns, outfits, or fabrics. Sessions can last 3+ hours, depending on how many dress changes there will be.

In our studio, you’ll find a range of looks—from clean, modern minimalism that highlights silhouette and light; to timeless, soft-romantic setups with flowing fabrics and gentle tones. Or try bold, glam portraits with luxe textures and dramatic lighting, or even casual and cozy lifestyle-inspired scenes that capture intimate, everyday moments. Each aesthetic is guided by the same commitment to quality and care, so your images feel both beautiful and deeply meaningful.

Our outdoor maternity sessions are for our families who want to be authentically captured in a beautiful scenic location of your choice. These sessions have more of a candid style and flow similar to our family sessions.

 FAQs

  • You will want to get on my calendar ASAP! I'm typically booked a couple of months out and I am no longer accepting last minute sessions. We will book your session between 28 and 35 weeks; we want your belly to be nice and round, but we don't want you to be too uncomfortable!

  • We will want to shoot outdoor sessions as close to sunrise/sunset as possible; we want that beautiful golden light. I typically book an hour before sunset for full sessions.

    Studio sessions can be booked at any time, typically morning or afternoon.

  • Outdoor Sessions: adding an outfit change to your full session gives more variety and looks you can have for your images! Outfit changes are not recommended for mini sessions due to limited time.

    Studio Sessions: Studio Sessions include various looks; refer to your package to see how many looks are included!

  • Your session time will be based upon the purchased session type. Full Outdoor Sessions on location typically range from 45 minutes to an hour.

    Studio Maternity Sessions will be at least 2 hours long and can run up to 4 hours long. The more looks you add to your sessions, the more time we will need.

  • Selecting a location for your outdoor session is a combined effort. Together, we will find the perfect location for your personality and style. Client favorites are beautiful parks with natural scenery! Ask us about our location guide to help choose! Locations and times are appointed for Mini Sessions, which is helpful for those who struggle with making decisions! (Like me!)

    Studio Sessions are located in my studio in HIram, GA.

  • A $75 retainer is due at the time of booking for all sessions. The remaining balance is due 24 hours before the session date/time; I will send an invoice for the remaining balance 3-5 days prior.

  • Outdoor Sessions: Depending on the location chosen, there may be a venue fee added. We will discuss this further when choosing a location, but many parks and venues are charging photographers to use their property. All additional fees are covered by the client.

    Studio Sessions: There may be an extra fee for additional looks.

  • Yes! Additional images may be purchased for all sessions.

  • Yes, each photo is professionally edited and retouched by hand, such as the removal of acne or unwanted scars.

  • If your outdoor session needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather, we will try for the first available session date. I will send you a notification at least 2 hours before your session time if I see a reason to reschedule. Please note I do automatically reschedule sessions if there is a more than a 80% chance of rain. I do not reschedule for overcast weather, as this is my preferred lighting to shoot in!
